Deloitte’s New Cyber-Security Chief Encourages Private, Federal Cooperation

Deloitte’s new security and privacy director says companies should feel comfortable working with the government on cyber-security issues. Mary Galligan, former special agent in charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York office cyber division who joined Deloitte last week, said she will spend much of her time working with companies nervous about letting the government into their computer networks after recent revelations of massive federal data snooping. She says the fight against domestic and international hackers should have the attention of more C-suite executives.
