Decision To Charge In Michael Brown Shooting Could Take Weeks

Protests over the police killing of unarmed teenager Michael Brown have drawn national attention to Ferguson, Missouri, but any decision to charge the officer identified as the shooter could take weeks, the Wall Street Journal reports. St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch could begin presenting evidence to a grand jury as soon as today, but completing forensic tests, gathering and corroborating accounts from the scene, and then putting all the evidence before the jury will take more time. A simultaneous U.S. Justice Department probe into the killing could be an even lengthier process.
