Cyber Market Eyes Israeli Tech Companies

Conscription is near-universal in Israel, and within the country’s military a cyber unit has been training “world-class hackers,” many of whom go on to start companies when they get out of the service, according to an article in The Hill. The country is said to have become the world’s second largest exporter of cyber products, with about $3 billion in 2013 exports. The phenomenon has caught the attention of major U.S. companies, some of whom have bought startups or formed subsidiaries in Israel.
