Covington & Burling Partner Confirmed as D.C. District Court

The U.S. Senate has confirmed, by unanimous vote, Covington & Burling partner Christopher Cooper to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Cooper, who worked in the firm’s London and Washington offices, was a member of the global white-collar and anti-corruption practices. Mr. Cooper began his career as a law clerk to then-Chief Judge Abner J. Mikva of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. He also served in the Office of the Deputy Attorney General at the Justice Department before moving into private practice.
