Cosby Sued Again

Actress LiLi Bernard met Bill Cosby on the set of the Cosby show. He promised to guide her as she sought to advance her career, and according to a complaint Bernard filed on Oct. 14, stressed that chastity is a virtue, and warned her of sexual pressures in Hollywood. Later during a“counseling session” at a hotel, he allegedly gave her a drink that made her dizzy. She vomited, passed out, and woke up in the midst of an assault by the actor. She also claims that Cosby threatened to sue her for defamation if she went to the police. Bernard is seeking $25 million in damages. According to a Cosby spokesman, Bernard is abusing the laws in place in some states that allow victims of sexual assault to file a civil complaint long after the alleged violation. He says there is not “an iota of evidence” to support her claims.
