Consolidation In the Legal Services Sector

Epiq has acquired Hyperion Global Partners, a provider of tech and other services to the legal profession. Epiq was formed in 2016 out of the combination of Epiq Systems and DTI, and rebranded as Epiq in 2018. Its reputation rests on the discovery services it provides, but it has steadily expanded its portfolio of business management services and solutions to corporate law departments, and law firms. Writing at LawSites, Robert Ambrogi, calls the acquisition a good fit. Hyperion provides business and technology consulting to corporate legal departments, public sector agencies and large law firms. Its research unit provides independent market research and analysis on legal strategy, operations and technology.
