Firms Spend Big To Stay Ahead of Hackers

The number keep getting more alarming: The number of incidents, the cost of an incident, the number of compromised accounts per incident, the likelihood of a company having a data breach involving 10,000 or more confidential records over a two-year period (it’s 22 percent). And the amount some major U.S. firms are offering to pay “board level cyber security experts”: $500,000-700,000 a year, and sometimes more.
