In the United States, a new Obama administration cybersecurity framework will be published in February, and new legislation and more class actions are imminent. Stricter standards are also pending in the EU, with severe penalties for violators. In addition, new rules regarding data protection, cross-border data transfer, consumer tracking and other privacy-related issues have been implemented or are being considered in numerous other countries and jurisdictions, including China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Russia, South Africa, China, Greece, Malaysia, Russia, South Korea, Venezuela and Vietnam.
