Various insiders consider a number of sitting judges and two elected senators with legal backgrounds to be possible nominees for the Supreme Court if Hillary Clinton is elected. Among them are a married couple from California – he a state supreme court judge, she a judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California – and President Obama’s stalled nominee Merrick Garland.
