Claire’s CEO Resigns After Less Than Two Years

After serving in the role for less than two years, CEO of retail jewelery chain Claire’s, James D. Fielding, has resigned. Fielding, who joined the company from The Walt Disney Co. in June 2012, will be replaced by Beatrice Lafon, currently the president of Claire’s Europe. The Hoffman Estates-based company didn’t provide a reason for the switch.
