Chinese Hackers Have Read Obama Administration Emails Since 2010

Hackers in China have had access to the private emails of top Obama Administration officials since 2010, NBC News reports, and the breach is ongoing. The infiltration – of “all top national and trade officials” – was detected in 2010. In 2011 Google disclosed that some accounts belonging to U.S. officials had been compromised. Private emails hosted by other carriers also appear to have been accessed. More secure government emails accounts, however, were not hacked.
