CEOs More Likely To Be Tall, Study Finds

A study in Sweden has found that, in a sample of 1.3 million men, the chief executives tended to be taller. Average height of all subjects was five feet 10 ½ inches (this is Sweden, after all), but CEOs of large firms averaged six feet, and chief executives of smaller companies maintained the edge, averaging five feet 10.9 inches. The study also found that executives who were “one standard deviation” (6.5 centimeters) taller than the mean were paid more.
