Canada Strengthens Its Foreign Corruption Law

A mid-year review of anti-corruption law in Canada finds that amendments to the Canadian Corruption of Foreign Public Officials Act have broadened its applicability, closed loopholes and increased penalties. Overall, the CFPOA is looking more like the FCPA in the United States. Enforcement has been ramped up, as well.
