Business Phone Calls While Driving Could Make Employer Liable

More employers are prohibiting employees from using cell phones for work-related calls while driving, and for good reason, writes Houston attorney James S. Horwitz. If an employee is involved in an accident while on a work-related call, there is a good chance the employer will get sued. Employers are advised to have a written policy prohibiting such calls, and to require that it be signed by employees.
