British Hacker Arrested For Defense Department Attack

A 23-year old man in England accused of hacking the U.S. Department of Defense has been arrested. The attack exposed DOD data,including names, titles, email addresses and phone numbers of about 800 people. Jeffrey Thorpe, special agent in charge at the Defense Criminal Investigative Service of the Defense Department, said the arrest showed the “commitment and the joint ongoing efforts among international law enforcement to stop cybercriminals in their tracks.”
