Bribe-Taking Judge Sentenced To Two Years

A Texas state district judge has pled guilty to illegally accepting cash, car repairs and other favors from a lawyer, in return for favorable rulings. In the federal judicial corruption case, Angus Kelly McGinty, pleading guilty to a charge of “honest services” wire fraud, in a plea agreement which calls for a two year jail sentence.
