Black Manager At Tiffany’s Files Discrimination Suit

A manager at jeweler Tiffany & Co. is suing the company for discrimination. Michael McClure, is bringing the suit after a performance review he claims was unfair led to warnings, the threat of termination and denial of annual bonus and merit pay. McClure says he is the only black person in the group of more than 200 people serving as managers for Tiffany, and the suit claims African Americans are also all but excluded from executive-level roles. Tiffany has said the claims are without merit.
