Bingham McCutchen Involved In Latest Firm Mega-Merger

When Philadelphia’s Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP acquires Boston’s Bingham McCutchen, the deal will create one of the world’s largest law firms. Morgan Lewis will hire about 227 of Bingham’s 300-plus partners, and the combined firm will have about 2,000 lawyers. It will also become the largest firm in the U.S. headed by a woman, new chair Jami Wintz McKeon. Bingham was hit hard by the recession and struggled to staunch the flood of departing partners.
