Asiana Airlines To Pay $55M To Settle Price-Fixing Suit

Asiana Airlines has reached an agreement to pay $55 million to settle a U.S. class action alleging that the company conspired with other air carriers to fix rates for shipping cargo. Asiana is one of 22 defendants who settled in the antitrust case, agreeing to pay $903 million total. The case was filed in 2006 by freight-forwarders who said they paid inflated prices because of the alleged conspiracy.
