Are Deep Voices More Persuasive?

A number of studies have found there is such a thing as “charismatic” speech patterns, and one study went so far as to conclude that “CEOs with lower voices tended to manage larger firms and make more money.” However, a study from Duke University found that people who intentionally lower their voice to the lowest possible register are perceived as less trustworthy and less competent.
