Appeals Court Archive Will Be Added Back To PACER

PACER will reestablish electronic access to its archives of federal case filings, the federal judiciary announced last week, after some of those documents were pulled in August. Last month, several appeals court administrators said they would no longer make available cases filed before 2010, and the announcement was met with immediate outrage. Judge John D. Bates, director of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, said the documents would be available by the end of October.
