Angry, Vindictive Judge Gets Suspension

A complaint filed against a Pennsylvania judge alleges that he violated sexual harassment policy, and when his advances were rebuffed, went on to demonstrate “sulking, vindictive behavior.” Judge Andrew Hladio allegedly began to pursue a clerk – identified as “N.B.” in the complaint – and asked her for dates and showed up at public places to be with her, “even though she rebuffed his advances and invitations,” the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board wrote in its complaint. When N.B. began dating another man, Hladio allegedly “acted in an angry, retaliatory manner.” These charges are a few among many of the complaints against Hladio, who also told clerks not to answer phones if they were busy, and frequently looked at his cell phone while presiding over cases.
