Angry Inventor Told To Amend “Shotgun” Infringement Claims

The plaintiff, a man disabled from polio, says his design for a wheelchair-accessible three-wheeled motorcycle was ripped off by the tv show American Chopper. His complaint “is not without colorful language,” notes IP attorney Woodrow Pollack with the GrayRobinson law firm, as he details a number of ways an infringement case can run off the rails by way of so-called “shotgun” claims. A Florida federal court has told the plaintiff he needs to amend his complaint.
