Administrative Review Council Adds Value to Arbitration

Sometimes parties to an arbitration have disagreements about administrative matters pertaining to the arbitration itself, such as whether the filing requirements have been met by the claimant, or how the arbitrators will be selected. The arbitral institutions have developed mechanisms to address these kinds of issues. For example, since 2013 the American Arbitration Association (AAA) has had an Administrative Review Council that was specifically designed to resolve thorny administrative issues on large, complex cases, and since then it has resolved hundred of administrative matters.
