“Standing” A Key Issue In Spate Of Food Labeling Class Actions

The food industry is being hit in state courts with a wave of class actions alleging false advertising. A recent California case, in which a plaintiff made claims about a family of products – 53 varieties of Twinings tea — but hasn’t personally used them all, raises some basic questions about standing.
