Is The FTC Blaming The Victim?

Wyndham Worldwide Corp, a hotel chain, was hacked twice, and hundreds of thousands of credit card numbers were stolen. Then it was sued by the Federal Trade Commission. The hotel chain says that’s like suing the furniture store after it gets robbed. The FTC says the furniture store left the credit card numbers on the counter and didn’t lock the door. The case, in federal court in New Jersey, is being watched as a potential precedent.
