Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos was just another geek billionaire until his company entered the movie industry. It was downhill from there. First it was bodybuilding and Oscar parties, then a divorce that started out quiet and dignified but was turning into a circus until famed show-biz attorney Marty Singer, and celebrity security consultant Gavin DeBecker stepped in. David Pecker, CEO of American Media, the parent company of The National Enquirer, threatened to publish private photos of Bezos it had obtained if Bezos didn’t back off a claim that The Enquirer’s coverage constituted a legal hit on behalf of Donald Trump. DeBecker found out how Pecker obtained the photos and Singer sent Pecker one of his infamous “cease and desist” letters. So far nothing has been published.
