DeLoitte Hacked, Blue Chip Clients Compromised

The Big Four Accountancy Firm DeLoitte was the victim of a cybersecurity attack that went unnoticed for months, according to the Guardian. The hackers potentially had access to emails, usernames, passwords, IP addresses, architectural diagrams for businesses and health information from the firm’s most valued clients. Some emails had attachments with sensitive security and design details. Only Deloitte’s most senior partners and lawyers were informed about the hack. It was discovered in March, but the systems may have been accessed as far back as October 2016. Deloitte has hired Hogan Lovells to provide legal advice about the potential fallout.
