Bed, Bath & Beyond Sued Over Video

The company was sued in California state court after it ran a promotional video, without captioning, in a Los Angeles store. The hearing-impaired plaintiff sues frequently “over a variety of issues,” but captioning is an issue nationwide, the writer says. He points to a surprising decision from a generally conservative federal appeals court and advises that any business, when retaining a video producer, should specify that the final product needs to be captioned.
