Law School Closes After $20 Million Loss

Indiana Tech Law School, Ft. Wayne, is kaput. The last class of 21 students graduated on May 13. Only five students attended the ceremonies. The rest held their own graduation at a nearby public library so they would not have to encounter retiring Indiana Tech President Arthur Snyder at the main commencement. The law school’s website redirects visitors to the main Indiana Tech homepage, where mention of the legal education program has been scrubbed. The Indiana Institute of Technology, which opened the law school in August 2013, said a $20 million loss prompted the decision to close. The 2017 graduates will be able to sit for the Bar Exam because the school had ABA approval when students finished their studies.
