Trump Expands Chinese Trademarks

President Donald Trump may now assign his name to Chinese veterinary services and construction, after that country’s trademark office granted preliminary approval of the marks on June 6. Under Chinese law, a trademark with preliminary approval is formally registered after three months, provided the agency receives no objections. Trump applied for the trademarks April 2016. If approved, the marks will add to Trump’s array of 123 registered and provisionally approved trademarks in China.” All of our marks in China are registered to an affiliate of the Trump Organization and have nothing whatsoever to do with Mr. Trump,” Alan Garten, executive vice president and chief legal officer at the Trump Organization, told the New York Times.
