Man Escapes Charges For Stealing Mom’s Stew

A judge has dismissed charges against Jonathan Carlos Ray, a man so desperate for his mother’s pozole recipe that he broke into her home. Ray sent his mother a text message saying he wanted some pozole, and she told him no. According to the complaint, she later found her gate and garage had been broken, and a pot of pozole was missing. The judge says the only witnesses to the alleged crime were Ray and his mother.
