In Retrial, Dewey Execs Staying Mum

Two former Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP executives, whose first trial ended in a deadlock in October 2015, will not testify in their retrial for allegedly misleading investors before the law firm’s collapse. Former CFO Joel Sanders and former Executive Director Stephen DiCarmine did not testify in the first trial either. Lawyers for the men presented a “relatively stripped-down case,” according to the New York Law Journal, cutting the number of charges from about 50 counts for each defendant to just three counts each.
