Besides summer internships, more solo and small law firms are hiring law students for help on a big case or project. They bring fresh perspective and enthusiasm, and can lead to future referrals when they are practicing on their own. Vraa includes tips to make sure the process is beneficial to both sides, including working through a law school’s placement service, providing basic training at the onset and having an open line of communication to handle scheduling.
