Shouting Erupts At Cosby Hearing

Disorder broke out during a hearing concerning the Bill Cosby sexual assault case. There were repeated outbursts from lawyers and from Cosby himself. The judge threatened to have police intervene. The hearing concerned whether 13 sex-abuse accusers should be allowed to testify against Cosby, an issue critical to the pending trial. The lawyers sparred over the introduction of email evidence, and whether Facebook postings by the accusers could be used to support what the defense called “online collaboration.” The trial is the only criminal case stemming from dozens of accusations of sexual assault and misconduct on the part of Cosby.
