Which BigLaw Firms Are Suing, Which Being Sued?

Bloomberg’s “Big Law Docket Scanner” periodically looks at dockets worldwide for cases in which big name law firms are either suing or being sued. One remarkable thing “is the number of suits with so little money at stake.” This listing includes eight lawsuits related to unpaid legal bills, one of them for $16,000. On the other hand, there are some big numbers here. One of the top dozen firms in the country is co-defendant, along with an accounting firm, in connection with an action seeking up to $100 million in damages, after a fund failed to produce promised returns and is facing fraud allegations. Three firms are being sued for malpractice.
