Obamacare Appeal On Hold Until After Inauguration

A lawsuit that threatens to gut the Affordable Care Act has been put on hold until after President-elect Donald Trump takes office. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit agreed to a Republican request to delay consideration of the government’s appeal until after Jan. 20. The Obama administration opposed the move. The government is appealing a ruling in favor of Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives regarding insurance company reimbursements. If the health care law is repealed by the incoming administration, the lawsuit will be moot.
