Phishing is getting increasingly sophisticated, with perpetrators able to include personal details that make an email look like it came from a colleague or acquaintance, although there are a couple of basic moves that may expose the fraud. Another tip, and perhaps the most important: Assume anything you put into unencrypted email is public, “like a conversation in a crowded room.”  Also included in this list is a warning to IT engineers: Be careful about posting sensitive technical information on what’s become known as a “watering holes” for cyber criminals.
