Trial Begins For Russian Megahacker

Roman Seleznev, the son of a Russian lawmaker, is accused of orchestrating an international scheme that made him about $170 million in fraudulent credit-card purchases. Seleznev mostly hacked into Washington state pizza restaurants to steal credit card information and, prosecutors claim, made millions by selling that data on underground internet forums. He faces a 40-count indictment that charges him with running the scheme from 2008 until 2014, when he was arrested in the Maldives.
