Hillary Clinton’s Toughest Opponent May Be A Conservative Law Group

Conservative legal group Judicial Watch, and its president Tom Fitton, have latched onto the scandal over then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email address, in hopes of bringing down the presidential candidate. “Mrs. Clinton clearly has no respect for the rule of law,” Fitton told the Daily Beast. “The fact that [the Clintons] are a success is an indictment of Washington.” Judicial Watch has been investigating alleged government corruption for more than 20 years, and since 1994 has filed lawsuits against every administration. A judge in Judicial Watch’s lawsuit over Clinton’s email has now ruled that the group may question six officials and top Clinton aides about why the private email was set up and used for government business, and those transcripts will be made public. Heroes to conservatives, Judicial Watch has been called “everything that is wrong with our political system” by Clinton campaign spokesman Nick Merrill. “Justice is the last thing they seek. They are only interested in headlines, and have made a complete mockery of our system.”
