Jonathan Santelli Replacing Retiring Paul Matecki As Raymond James GC

Raymond James has selected Jonathan Santelli to replace Paul Matecki as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary on May 2. Santelli was most recently deputy general counsel of First Republic Bank in California, where he is responsible for legal and compliance. Prior to that, he served as managing director and associate general counsel at Bank of America, including acting as general counsel for the preferred and small business banking and private wealth management business units, and as managing director and head of strategic mergers and acquisitions at Merrill Lynch & Co.

After more than 26 years with the firm, Raymond James General Counsel and Corporate Secretary Paul Matecki announced his intention to retire on Sept. 30, 2016. Matecki has been a significant piece of the firm’s leadership team since he was recruited in 1989 to build the Legal department.
