In A Switch, Class Action Suit Says Uber Drivers Benefited

Last week some Uber customers in California received notice they were party to a class action lawsuit that alleges Uber collected a state-imposed fee for airport runs several months before the state of California actually started to collect it. During that interim period, according to the lawsuit, the company passed the $3.85 fee to drivers – plus 15 cents to make it an even four bucks. Tens of thousands of customers are said to have been charged and could be party to the suit.
