2016 Trends In Consumer Tech

The  Consumer Technology Association, a trade group with more than 2000 members, including Google, Apple and Microsoft, has published “5 Technology Trends to Watch,” the 2016 edition. It looks at context-aware computing (which can “stay one step ahead of the user, anticipating needs at any given time”); the future of retail; the connected smart home; how tech is transforming Hollywood; and smart cities. The 29-page PDF also includes a look back at some previous predictions – including drones and virtual reality – to see how they are faring.
