Fair Use Dispute In News Clip Case

The Second Circuit Court of Appeals will consider whether TVEyes, a TV and radio clipping service, has the right to use Fox News segments under fair use. TVEyes charges customers as much as $500 a month for its service. A New York federal judge ruled that sharing, time searching, and downloading Fox segments does not count as fair use, and TVEyes must bar its clients from accessing or sharing Fox News clips on social media. Now the Appeals Court will examine the question of fair use in the case.
