Schools, Firms Collaborate On Pro-Bono Clinics

Today’s General Counsel columnist Mark A. Cohen looks at a new collaboration model that’s playing out successfully in a number of venues. Law firms are cooperating with law schools and providing mentoring and hand-on experience to new lawyers, in the context of pro-bono clinics for underserved populations. It’s a model, he says, that can serve as a template for a kind of much needed, relevant and undeniably positive development that a beleaguered industry can surely use.
