Union Questions IPO Of A Non-Union Vegas Casino

A local of the Culinary Workers has asked the SEC to review the registration filing of Station Casinos, which operates several casinos in  Nevada. The union, which represents thousands of cooks, housekeepers, servers, bartenders and others in Las Vegas, has tried to organize Station Casinos for years, without success. Now it wants the SEC to look into the proposed IPO, which is being led by Deutsche Bank, and in particular, according to an article in the New York Times, at the bank’s recent legal problems, which the filing does not disclose. Deutsche Bank paid a record $2.5 billion fine earlier this year following an inquiry into its part in rigging interest rates in the interbank-loan market, and since then has paid millions to New York State regulators over its dealings with companies under sanction by the United States.
