Dow Jones Reveals Hack

The personal and payment information of about 3,500 Dow Jones & Co. subscribers was exposed in a recent hack, the company has reported. Hackers gained unauthorized entry to its systems in an effort to send fraudulent solicitations. In the process they were able to obtain contact information, and payment card information. The breach took place between August 2012 and July 2015, and was “likely part of a broader campaign involving a number of other victim companies,” said Dow Jones CEO William Lewis.
