Most Law Firms Have Been Hit By Data Breach

At least 80 percent of the nation’s 100 largest law firms have been impacted in some way by data breaches, yet fewer than half such firms have taken any measures to deal with information security risks, IP Watchdog writer Steve Brachmann writes. According to a Citigroup Inc. study released earlier this year, the industry standard for cybersecurity in law firms remains much lower than other industries, despite the fact that the information they hold is valuable and very attractive to hackers.
