Koch To Keep Fake Wine Fine

Billionaire oenophile William Koch has prevailed in an appeal over 24 bottles of fake Bordeaux he purchased in an October 2005 auction. Koch claims that Eric Greenberg knowingly sold him the inauthentic bottles, and in 2013 a jury awarded him $12.4 million, which was later cut to $1.15 million. The appeals court determined that Greenberg purposefully misrepresented chateaus and vintages, knowing that information would be passed on to others.
