Forget About SCOTUS, Christie Tells Ivy League Grads

If elected president, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) won’t appoint a Harvard or Yale Law School grad to the nation’s highest court, he pledged on a radio talk show over the weekend. Five of the current Supreme Court justices graduated from Harvard Law, and another three are Yale Law grads. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg graduated from Columbia Law School. Americans are tired of the “education establishment,” Christie said. “You need folks who have real life experiences, who have had real struggles, and who have made a difference in their communities in ways that are different than just going to an Ivy League school,” Attending Seton Hall law school didn’t hold him back from achieving things, Christie said: “In fact, I’m running for president of the United States.”
